How Clear Aligners Work
Instead of using braces, clear aligners are made of smooth, invisible plastic that applies gentle pressure to your teeth for gradual movement. The aligners fit snugly against your teeth, so they don’t interfere with talking, smiling, or other normal daily activities.
To achieve the best results in a timely manner, you’ll wear your aligners for at least 20 to 22 hours per day, removing them for meals, brushing, and flossing. You’ll change your aligners every two weeks according to Dr. Halasa’s treatment plan.
Most patients can complete treatment with clear aligners in approximately 6 to 18 months, depending on their individual needs and treatment requirements.
