Dr. Michael Halasa
Dr. Michael Halasa brings a unique perspective to dentistry, combining his background in electrical and computer science engineering with his passion for patient care. After graduating from Ohio State University with his engineering degree, Dr. Halasa worked briefly as an engineer before realizing his true calling was to work directly with people and make a tangible difference in their lives. Inspired by his hometown dentist, who served as a role model, he returned to Ohio State to earn his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree, drawn by the natural connection between the physics and engineering principles he loved and the art of dentistry.
Dr. Halasa recently purchased Marysville Family Dentistry in June 2025. What he loves most about his work is the rewarding feeling that comes from building long-lasting relationships with patients and genuinely improving their lives. He's equally passionate about his team, surrounding himself with caring, dedicated people who brighten each day and share his commitment to excellent patient care.
When he's not in the office, Dr. Halasa enjoys spending time with his wife, Meredith, and their family. His engineering roots still shine through in his hobbies. He loves computer programming, app development, and game development. He's also an avid reader and enjoys diving into a good book.
Fun fact: Before settling in Marysville, Dr. Halasa and his family spent two years in Denver following dental school, then moved back to Ohio to be closer to family. His journey from engineer to dentist to practice owner reflects his commitment to finding meaningful work that allows him to connect with and serve his community!
Prior to Marysville Family, Dr. Halasa serviced me a couple years ago for a Root Canal. I was incredibly nervous, and I had about 500 questions that I needed resolved prior to the procedure. Dr. Halasa went far beyond taking the time to answer all of my questions with grace and kindness. He respected my stance on certain procedures, and made me feel seen, heard, and valued. When it was time for the procedure, I was quite nervous, but for the entire duration, he was gentle, calm, knowledgeable, and he verbalized every step to me as he worked which made me feel so comfortable.
To this day, nearly 2 years later, I have not had one single issue with the work he performed. Upon learning that he opened his practice, my family, with no reservation, made the commitment to locate, book services, and begin our routine care at the new beautiful location. I recently watched him service my eldest son, and both he and Meredith treated him with the same level of respect and kindness. This further validated that, despite the extended drive time (totally worth it) my family made the right decision in following his practice.
The new office is easy to locate and it is in pristine condition. It feels like a home: beautiful decor, good energy, amazing hospitality, and overall just a peaceful office. My family feels blessed to have such amazing care from him and all of his wonderful staff.
