Dr. Himler is continuing his membership and attendance in the Excellence in Dentistry Study Club and the Greater Columbus Society of Contemporary  Dentistry Study Club.  Each Study Club meets quarterly for continuing education.

On October 15, we sponsored the Annual Forever Friends, Forever Loved, Forever Homes Dog Adoption Event.

In October, Dr. Himler attended the American Academy of Implant Dentistry's Annual Session for Continuing Education and new updates on dental implants.

In September, Dr. Himler and staff attended the Ohio Dental Association's Annual Session for Continuing Education.

In August, Dr. Himler attended an advanced course on Mini Dental Implants, presented by Shatkin First.  

In April, Dr. Himler attended the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry's Annual Scientific Session, in Las Vegas. 

In April, Dr. Himler attended the American Laser Academy's annual Session, in Tucson.

In March, we added a Solea (CO2) Laser system to our treatment options.  This laser allows us to restore teeth with either no or less than normal anesthetic (numbing).  Treatment time is generally quicker, as the time taken to provide anesthesia isn't needed or is reduced. Dr. Himler completed his training March 4.

In February, Dr. Himler continued screening local 2nd grade students for dental issues.  This was his 30th year in a row.

In October, Dr. Himler attended the American Dental Association's Annual Session, In Denver, for Continuing Education.

In September, Dr. Himler and staff attended the Ohio Dental Association's Annual Conference for Continuing Education.

In April, Dr. Himler attended the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry's Annual Scientific Session, in Toronto. 

Dr. Himler is continuing his membership in the Excellence in Dentistry Study Club.  It meets quarterly in Dublin, Ohio.  

In November, Dr. Himler attended the American Dental Association's Annual Meeting for Continuing Education.

In October, we sponsored the Annual Forever Friend, Forever Loved, Forever Home Dog Adoption Event at the Union County Fairgrounds.

In September, Dr. Himler attended the CEREC 30 Dental Technology Conference.  Many updates/upgrades are taking place with our OmniCam and "Same-Day" crown technology.

In July, 2015, Vern (our Therapy dog) started working with our anxious patients.

In May, Dr. Himler attended the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry's Annual Scientific Session in San Francisco.

Dr. Himler completed a weekend of continuing education, on March 7 & 8, at the Spear Dental Education Facility, on updates to our Cerec unit (digital impressions).  Most notably is the orthodontic software update.

Marna and Casey, our Expert Dental Hygienists, completed their final requirements/testing to be able to provide local anesthesia. 

Dr. Himler attended the CerecDoctors Study Club Annual Symposium on October 24-25, in Las Vegas.  It is part of his Cerec Study Club Membership, which meets 8 times per year in Columbus.

We sponsored a dog adoption day at the Union County Fairgrounds on October 19.  Approximately 100 dogs were placed in new homes.

Dr. Himler attended an Advanced Cerec Technology update for his OmniCam unit on October 11-12. 

Dr. Himler attended an International Dental Conference, sponsored by the University of Minnesota, School of Dentistry, in Dubrovnik, Croatia on September 25 through October 1. 

Dr. Himler and his staff attended the Ohio Dental Association's Annual Session on September 12, to take continuing education and check out new technology and dental materials. 

We replaced our intraoral video cameras at the end of May.  Our new units are smaller and easier to use.

Marna and Casey, our expert dental hygienists, completed their training in local anesthesia.

In April 2014, we updated/replaced our computer systems to remain HIPPA compliant.   

In Februaury 2014, we replaced our 3 oldest intra-oral x-ray units with new units that are more compatible with our digital x-ray sensors.  This will allow us to further reduce your x-ray exposure. 

We received our new OmniCam Cerec Unit in May, 2013.  This replaces our previous unit.  With this new unit, we will be able to continue our same-day crowns and add digital impressions for many of our laboratory fabricated crowns.

On July 10, 2010, Dr. Himler was awarded "Mastership" in the Academy of General Dentistry, at a convocation ceremony at the annual session of the Academy of General Dentistry.  He joins 2,617 dentists to have earned the Mastership Award in the 58 year history of the Academy.  As a comparison, there are currently over 157,000 dentists in the United States.  Additional information on the Academy of General Dentistry and the Mastership Award are available at www.agd.org.
